What is PROUD?
PROUD is a pressure and lobby group for everyone who works or has worked in the erotic services in the Netherlands, in whatever way, shape or form. We do not make a difference between sex, the way you work or your legal status. PROUD?s objective and ambition is to represent the interests of sex workers; in their work, in politics, in the media and in society in general.
Who are we?
PROUD consists out of a group of (ex)sex workers who are supported by an advisory committee which consists out of scientists, academics and (human rights) activists. All members of PROUD feel a strong urge to fight for more rights, better working conditions and a more positive image of sex work.
Whom is PROUD for?
Sex workers from all different countries, working in all different types of sex work can become a member of PROUD. Be it window sex work, working in a club, a private house, as an escort, in striptease or stage performance, receiving at home, internet escort or all types of film-phone sex work: You are welcome! PROUD members together decide on the policy and issues of PROUD. They will have access to an enclosed space of the PROUD-website. Here the members can exchange thoughts and experiences that they encounter in their work.
